Q: What is an appellate tribunal ?

Ans: According to section 2(da) of information technology act,  2000, an appellate tribunal means the appellate tribunal referred to sub- section 1 of section 48. 

According to section 48(1) of information technology act,  2000 , the telecom disputes settlement and appellate tribunal established under section 14 of Telecom regulatory authority of India Act, 1997 shall exercise the jurisdiction,  power and authority conferred on it by or under this act.
